Do you remember 1996? Let me take you back a time when Jim Carrey was the biggest comedy star in the world.  This man was coming off of a year in which he had just done Ace Ventura 2 and headlined Batman Forever as The Riddler.  Everyone was waiting for his next film.  The film we all got was The Cable Guy, a movie that combines Carry's comedy with the dark subject matter of stalking.  It ended up turning off audiences and critics but is this film truly worthy of all the hate?  Or is it simply a misunderstood example of social commentary mixed deeply dark humor.
