This week, with the Pentagon releasing video footage of what appears to be UFOs, we figured why not look at what the worst case scenario would be for an alien attack by examining the 1996 Tim Burton interstellar classic, Mars Attacks!  Boasting a deep ensemble cast including such luminaries as Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, and a yet to be famous Jack Black, the film is often forgot about when discussing the work of Tim Burton.  It isn’t quite the masterpiece of Edward Scissorhands but it isn’t the abomination of Alice in Wonderland or pretty much anything released by the filmmaker after 2000.  So why did this film get lost in the Burtonverse and is it really that awful?
